Towards gvSIG 2.4: ISO-7010 symbol library, safety pictograms

ISO-7010 defines a series of safety pictograms or symbols. This ISO compliant tries to coordinate graphic symbols and colours of safety signs in an international level. A global coordination that allows more coherence and a universal acknowledgement of signs.

There are several sectors related to safety that use geographic information systems, and therefore, disposing of an ISO-7010 symbol library can be very useful. Without going any further, at the gvSIG Association we are making several projects where the final users are directly related to safety issues.

For that, we have created a new symbol library that will be included one of the novelties of the new gvSIG version… but you can download and install it in your gvSIG Desktop already.

You only will have to download this file: https://mega.nz/#!ks4mQAYR!dAl1ZPLFwDYrvoktE4xHv04iTp0h2YyyFWZk7zRpHX0

…and then install it from the “Add-ons manager” of gvSIG Desktop. If you have any doubt, here you have a video about how to do it:
